Wallay

With his slang language and trendy clothing, Ady, 13, is more the product of his milieu, the French suburbs, than the son of his father, born in Burkina Faso. To instill in the turbulent adolescent the traditional values of his family, his father sends him to his brother's home for the summer.

The culture shock is brutal for the young half-breed. His cell phone can’t pick up a signal, while the shower, consisting of buckets of water, can be seen by all. Resistant to his uncle’s authority and traditional values, Ady has only one desire: to return home.

But his cousin and mentor will gradually help him understand that his "home" covers a much larger territory than he thinks.
