I will not go anywhere else

March 22, 2019

After they redid this theater it is the best! Leather, decking seats and your own swivel tray. They even have seat heaters. They have plenty of food options although I typically go for an icee. Lines have never taken me more than 5 min for food. Although not a complaint against the theater, I did see “A Quiet Place” here and they allowed a baby into the theater. The baby cried quite a bit during a mostly silent movie...... didnt enjoy that time. Still overall great!

Poor Service

March 03, 2019

Second time going to this theater, last week we were unable to get popcorn and the theater was nasty, food from the night before was on a food cart outside of the theater door and it stunk. Today I had to stand inline over a 1/2 hour to get popcorn and drinks. There was only two guys and they were slow. We could see other employees walking around doing nothing, they should have been serving customers.

Worst theater in town

December 16, 2018

We came as a family for a night out. We were really excited about the new theater, had heard nothing but good things.. but our experience here took us by surprise in the worst way possible. We got here early so we ordered food and decided to wait. After over an hour, we still hadn’t gotten our food so we asked about it and finally got the food. We had the southwest chicken bowl and the rice was uncooked and not edible, the chicken tasted like it had been left out for several days and all of it was cold. They had over an hour, why couldn’t they cook a decent or at least edible meal? ..especially at the price we paid. We took back the food and were made new plates. The second time was faster I will give them that, the food was at least luke warm instead of cold but the rice was still hard and the whole thing just tasted awful. When we called a few days later we were given 3 vouchers for a free movie and meal to make up for this experience. The food vouchers however are only for 12.99 which is less than any of the food available. Also, the second time around, we ordered food at the start of the movie and never got out meal. When the movie was over we went to the counter and the manager that spoke to us acted like he could not care less about the issue. The staff here are rude and the management is terrible. This is a nice establishment, the service should match. I don’t think any movie theater has been this much of a disappointment to me in my experience. Me and my family will not be going back and I would not recommend it to anyone else either.

One of the worst theater experiences

August 16, 2017

I attended a movie last night (August 15, 2017) at your theater in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. It rates as one of the worst theater visits I have ever experienced. Almost every area within my sight was filthy. The entry was littered with cigarette butts, candy wrappers, and the leftover tips of blunts. Once inside, there was popcorn on the floor of the entrance to the lobby, and popcorn was spilled on the floor of the concession area. There was one employee at the concession area, handling ticket sales and concession sales by himself. There were two other employees absent-mindedly wiping the drink machines, and not doing a very good job. Once in the theater itself (Dunkirk) we were treated to a number of trailers, one of which was for some Al Gore film that was released, according to the trailer, on July 28, 2017 -- nearly a month ago. And the theater had cups and trash in it. When we left, it was clear that no one had made any effort to clean up any of the messes. And to top it all off, we spent nearly $35 on two tickets, two regular drinks, and one popcorn. That's ridiculous. If I had been the manager, there would have been somebody out with a broom and a dustpan cleaning up the floors, and the place would have looked and smelled clean. The theater itself would have been cleaned between showings, and we'd have had current trailers that weren't a month old. Ever since AMC took over that location, it has gone downhill. You need to light a fire under somebody's backside and get the place under control. It's in a nice suburban neighborhood, and if you don't get it handled, folks will go elsewhere. I plan to go back over there in the next few days to see if this email has reached the correct eyes. If not, my next stop will be Twitter.
