Ralph Fiennes reveaks what he liked about his character, Alfred, in The LEGO Batman Movie, as well as what he feels aided him in giving his vocal performance. For Ralph, Alfred is the “patient teacher.” He laughs as he describes Alfred as a sort of “child psychologist” who is constantly trying to get Batman to “grow up.” Ralph goes on to say the script was “witty” and that the part was “fun” for him to play. He found it helpful to be expressive with his body and not just focus on delivering a vocal performance.
