Born: July 17, 1980

Brett Goldstein was born in London to a British Jewish family. He graduated with a degree in film studies from the University of Warwick before moving to New York City to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He began his career writing scripts, performing stand-up comedy, and appearing in short films and television comedies, including The Bill, Derek, Drifters, and Uncle.

In 2013, Brett wrote and starred in the romantic comedy SuperBob, earning wider recognition as both a writer and actor. He later collaborated extensively with Catherine Tate and won the British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Adult Life Skills. He also launched the popular podcast Films to Be Buried With in 2018.

Brett achieved international fame as writer and one of the stars of the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, playing fan-favorite footballer Roy Kent. The role earned him consecutive Emmy Awards in 2021 and 2022. He also joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Hercules in the mid-credits scene of Thor: Love and Thunder (2022). In 2026, he provided the voice of Reggie in the big screen film The Sheep Detectives and co-starred with Jennifer Lopez in the Netflix romantic comedy film Office Romance.
