American actor, screenwriter and director Clark Gregg is best known for his role as Phil Coulson in the films Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2(2010), Thor (2011) and Marvel's The Avengers (2012). He has also lent his voice to the animated television series Ultimate Spider-Man.

Clark received his BFA in Drama in 1986 from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He started his career doing theater in New York and is one of the founding members of the Atlantic Theater Company. Clark formerly played FBI Special Agent Mike Casper on the NBC series The West Wing. More recently he has been seen in Marvel's TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as on the big screen in The To Do List (2013), Labor Day (2014) and the crime thriller Spinning Man(2018). Most recently, he reprised his role as Phil Coulson in the prequel, Captain Marvel (2019).

Clark is married to actress Jennifer Grey (of Dirty Dancing fame). They have a daughter, Stella.
