MIKE VOGEL

Date of Birth: July 17, 1979

Raised in the small town of Abington, Pennsylvania, after high school Mike Vogel spent a year as a history major at the Philadelphia College of Bible. When cuts forced him to drop out, he had already launched a career as a model, but supplemented his income by joining his father in his plumbing business. Relying on acting experience gained in high school plays, Vogel landed an acting agent in nearby New York City and spent the next year commuting back and forth for auditions. His first television job was a commercial for Kohl’s, but after landing the recurring role of Dean on the hit Fox series Grounded for Life, Mike moved to Los Angeles for filming. After a year on the show, Vogel, an experienced skateboarder, scored the starring role of Eric Rivers in the skateboard movie Grind (2003), followed by a role in the young ensemble cast of the edgy remake, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003).

He returned to television for Wuthering Heights, CA (2003), a contemporary musical movie version of Emily Brontë's classic novel in which he plays the starring role of Heathcliffe. Vogel lives with his wife Courtney and their two children in Southern California.
