OLIVIA WILDE

Date of Birth: March 10, 1984

Though Olivia Wilde's television breakout role was in the Fox series Skin, about two teens who fall in love despite being from feuding families, only three episodes aired, due to poor ratings (and less than favorable reviews). It was a recurring role as lesbian Alex Kelly on the hit series The O.C. that first gained Wilde viewer attention.

Roles in films quickly followed, in features such as The Girl Next Door (2004), Alpha Dog (2006), Turistas (2006) and Year One (2009). For her role in the small budget indie film Bickford Schmeckler's Cool Ideas (2006), she won Best Actress at the Aspen Film Festival. Wilde also appeared in the futuristic thriller Tron: Legacy (2010), directed by Joseph Kosinski and Cowboys & Aliens (2011), opposite Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig.

She also enjoyed a successful television career, having played regular roles in NBC's The Black Donnellys and on the hit medical drama House. The series came to an end in 2012 but it was probably for the best for Olivia, as the film roles just kept pouring in.

Some of her 2012 titles include the brother-sister drama People Like Us with Chris Pine, The Longest Week alongside Jason Bateman, Black Dog, Red Dog with James Franco, Deadfall with Eric Bana, and The Words co-starring Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Irons and Dennis Quaid.

She also appeared in Drinking Buddies (2013) alongside Anna Kendrick, Jake Johnson and Ron Livingston and Rush(2013) with Chris Hemsworth.

Olivia returned to the big screen in the romantic drama Life Itself(2018) alongside Oscar Isaac. She made her feature film directing debut with Booksmart (2019), a comedy about two high school seniors who feel they need to party to make up for four years of studying.

On stage, Olivia starred in Epic Theatre Center's Off-Broadway production of Beauty on the Vine.

Born in New York City, Olivia, who is a vegan, is engaged to actor Jason Sudeikis with whom she has two children.
