Born: January 07, 1952

Sammo Hung is a prolific actor, director and producer with more than 130 films to his credit. He studied at the Peking Opera School with future film star Jackie Chan before he entered the Honk Kong film scene. He began as a martial arts coordinator for Bruce Lee and later starred in several action comedies with Chan in the early 1980's. His movie, Eastern Condor (1987), was among the first Hong Kong "New Wave" films to receive wide recognition in North America.
