Born: October 10, 1971

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Walton Goggins has worked hard for his long list of achievements in Hollywood. Raised in Lithia Springs, Georgia, Walton only attended college for a year at Georgia Southern University before deciding to move to Los Angeles in pursuit of an acting career. Working at a valet car parking service for various restaurants in the city, he finally got his big break.

Walton appeared in small roles back in Georgia such as Forever Young (1992) as Gate MP, The Apostle (1997) as Sam, and Daddy and Them (2001) as Tommy Christian. His first starring role was playing Shane Vendrell on The Shield from 2002 to the series' conclusion in 2008.

Walton continued to guest on television shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Criminal Minds, and CSI: Miami — which led to his next big role as Boyd Crowder on Justified. He starred in 74 episodes between 2010 to 2015, continuing his role for the entirety of the show till it ended. Through this role, he found himself nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, a Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, and a Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actor – Series, Miniseries or Television Film.

In 2016, Walton was cast as Lee Russell on the HBO show Vice Principals, which led him to win the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He appeared on the show for one season, then went on to star in and produce the show The Unicorn as Wade Felton from 2019 to 2021.

Throughout his time on television, Walton continued to appear on the big screen, as Stans in Predators (2010), Billy Crash in Django Unchained (2012), Warden Nigel James in G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013), and Lawrence in Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018), to name a few. He stars as Joe Emerson in Dreamin’ Wild (2022) — 30 years after they recorded an album, Donnie and Joe Emerson are discovered for their teenage musical genius. The album brings a second chance for the brothers, who find fame soon after the album is discovered, leading Donnie to finally live his dream of being a musician.

One of Walton's most notable features is his charming smile, although he has revealed that his two front teeth are actually veneers after his real teeth were knocked out…twice. The first was in fifth grade when he caught a baseball with his mouth, and the second was a couple of years later after diving into the shallow end of the pool. All turned out well as he is complimented for his smile to this day.

Walton is set to appear in the Amazon original show Fallout, as well as starring in the comedy film The Uninvited (2023).
