Best reserved seating in town! Better than Southlands AMC!

December 13, 2017

This theater remodeled recently and is now my favorite theater. I only go to theaters with reserved seating & this theater got it right! There's no tray in the way or sneeze guard to look over like at Southlands. Comfortable reclining chairs too. As with all AMC theaters, the sound is unfortunately cranked up too high, but I can live with that.

Bait and switch

November 13, 2017

Used to be a fun theater. Now, just a big box with overpriced junk food. AMC sent emails to me, for free popcorn, etc. But when I was at the concessions, they wouldn't honor it. The "manager" (sitting on the desk) said I should have shown them the email (I did), then I should have told them to "ring it up as a large drink". He never even stood up to talk to me.

aisle lights, guest services

August 01, 2022

I'm going to preface this with the fact that I hate "Karen's" but I may sound like one when all is said & done. My wife & I went to the "Elvis" movie & got two of the last seats in the upper right-hand corner of the theater. I sat on the aisle & the aisle lights were bright but I figured they would be dimmed for the show. They were not. I held my hand over my left eye the whole movie. Worse though, it was extremely hot in the theater & by the end I was literally sweating. It ruined a good movie so I went to guest services afterward to let them know. There was one person working the ticket counter & she was talking to her buddies three feet away. I stood there waiting for several minutes for her to notice me but she was dedicated to her friend's conversation (they also kept looking at me but didn't acknowledge that I was waiting so I was getting ignored by all three!). I finally said "excuse me". She turned, got up & ambled over (yes ambled) and I told her about the temperature & told her how uncomfortable it was & that I was literally sweating in the theater. She responded with a blank stare. I told her it had ruined the movie & I thought she'd like to know. She responded this time with an "ok". We stared at each other for a little longer & I finally broke the silence with "I'm not even going to bother with the second complaint because clearly you aren't too concerned" thinking she would backtrack & start sucking up. It didn't & I knew I was beaten. She did finally say "would you like me to call a manager?" but by this time her facial expression had reached "annoyed" so I mumbled something to the effect of "don't bother, I'm done" & left. My millennial beatdown was complete but my laughing wife of course piled on & called me "Karen" all night but the bottom line is, I'll proba

Sound and lights!!

July 27, 2019

The bright lights and extremely loud sound level were on all during the previews. We thought that would change once the movie began. Oh no. The screen was not visible because of the lights staying on. When we told the manager she said that she didn’t know where the sound and light controls were and that was that. When we asked for a refund we were told that once the movie begins, there are no refunds. We only saw two minutes of the film! After some complaining we did get our money back. That’s our last time at this theater. Beware!

Terrible Theater

June 02, 2017

Didn't have pizza or chicken tenders available so I bought McDonalds for dinner. As I'm walking in I was stopped and informed that I could not bring in outside food. Can you believe this? I can't buy what I want from you AND you won't let me bring in food? This place sucks and I'll never set foot in this theater again!!

GROSS

July 02, 2017

If you like a filthy theater and ridiculously high prices, this is the place for you! We saw Cars 3 with our kids. I expect some noise and talking in a kids movie, but a baby cried through the ENTIRE movie. Never was an usher seen. I was not the only person that complained about this. Then to add insult to injury, I took my four-year-old daughter to the restroom. I had to open 5 stalls before I could find one clean enough to use. Toilets full, seats dirty, out of order.... But the best part was the one that was covered in blood. No one had been in there for hours for a check. I spoke with the manager the next day and he said he would mail me passes and apologized. Surprise, surprise.... They never came in the mail. RUN away to Southlands and see your movie there.

Completely horrible

January 02, 2019

I thought this was one of the better places to see a family movie but after what I witnessed yesterday was completely horrible. It was race discrimination but it didn’t have to go as far as it had the manager done the right thing and of course he did NOT. They sold seats to two different families and the young lady and her son that were there first where asked to leave their paid for seats for the family that were sold the exact same seats. Of course the young pregnant lady and her son were black and the family that got there after were white and instead of the second family being asked to sit somewhere else this young lady was forced to give up her seats for this white family. It’s disgusting how this was handled and I will make sure this theater is known for who they really are..
