Women’s restroom

August 02, 2023

Crazy subject, but the toilet paper in the women’s restroom is absolutely worthless ! Hence, there are pieces of TP all over every stall! It is too thin to get it off the huge roll, not to mention it was backwards. Happy cleaning 🙄

Worst website

November 25, 2018

We live 1 hour from Dubuque & I always look ahead to see what day my chosen movie will be playing so I can make plans to travel there.Sometimes, the website only lists movies for the next two days. There’s got to be a better system that will give movies for the next week.

Poor sound quality & unsanitary restrooms

August 11, 2018

My wife and I went to the Dubuque AMC to watch 'The spy who dumped me', but the experience was so awful that they won't see us again. Luckily there is a superior option in Dubuque now, so our decision to boycott them will not be much of a hassle. First off, my wife attempted to use the woman's restroom and she was surprised at the lengths the theater went, to recreate classic movie scenes in there. She couldn't quite decide if the scene reminded her more of the Swanson bathroom after Harry Dunn was done with it, the bathroom from Trainspotting or the special stall from Desperado. Only real lovers of the arts would have gone through that much effort to create such an authentic experience. Next on to the movie. Not satisfied with the effort the director put into the soundtrack, the theater proprietors felt that the movie experience would be much improved by modifying the soundtrack so it sounded like the movie was shot inside an 8 bit Nintendo. I've always wondered who actually enjoyed the movie Pixels and now know that the folks at AMC Dubuque loved it so much that they want every movie in theater 13 to sound like it. I now understand why my complaints to the manager resulted in a scowl and death stare. I just called her baby ugly. Next time I want to pay for disappointment, I'll just go to a Packers game.
