Good for its Price

Let's be real, for its price, it is pretty good. Don't be expecting a first-class state-of-the-art cinema. It's really nice, chairs are comfortable, popcorn is good, and staff are always kind.

Why Has The Regal Closed in Santa Cruz???

Horrible experience

January 03, 2020

We went there yesterday to see a movie at 2:10 PM. I bought our tickets online, hoping to save time, but when we reached the concession/ticket counter, there was a huge line with only one person helping. A few minutes later, another worker came up and offered to help the next person in line. Then a few minutes after that, a female employee ("Isabella") walked up and offered to help a woman that was just walking up towards the line. I explained to Isabella that we had been waiting a long time and the next person helped should be the person at the front of our line, and not the woman who just walked up. Isabella ignored me and went back to helping that same woman. I again let Isabella know that we had all been waiting there a very long time and she smirked and said " you should've been in three lines (which we weren't as the system was working fine as it was) and then flippantly turned her head and gave me a nasty look. Then when we finally got to the front and ordered a "soft" pretzel, medium Diet Coke, and small popcorn, the young man informed us that they were out of straws! (That would later make the large drink very hard to handle, and caused the carbonation to go away very quickly.) He then reached behind himself and got a pretzel that was already in a plastic wrapper and then got the popcorn. When we got to our seats, we discovered that the theater had not been cleaned after the one earlier showing that day. There was spilled soda on my husband's seat as well as an empty popcorn wrapper, and on my seat, there were popcorn kernels and torn up wrappers of some sort in the drink holder. Then when I went to eat my pretzel, I discovered that it was very stale and hard. But because we had waited in line for so long, I didn't have time to go get another pretzel as the movie was starting. Then two young girls who were ahead of us in the concession line and who bought tickets to a later movie, showed up in our theater behind us
