Warrior Andy (Charlize Theron) travels across the desert in a Jeep, when Nile (KiKi Layne), the captive she has in the back, escapes. Andy asks her to get back in the truck, but Nile stabs her. Undaunted, Andy calmly asks her not to do that again. Nile is more upset about the encounter and throws up. Andy reports that she has the "new one" and that she has potential. Nile discovers that the people in Andy's group have lived centuries and fought many battles. Strangest of all — they can't die.
