An aging, once-promising writer from Medellín who never achieved literary recognition drifts between odd jobs, minor scams, and reluctant family obligations. Then he meets a talented but volatile teenage student whose poems begin to attract attention online. Seeing a chance to finally gain success, he eagerly takes on a mentorship role.
Over time, his guidance turns into manipulation as he tries to shape the student's voice into something more publishable and marketable while gradually taking ownership of the work. He convinces himself that his actions are justified in the name of art as the line between inspiration and exploitation disappears.
