Chekhov
“Chekhov” is the nickname of a theatre actor who survived a Syrian underground Secret Service prison. Now living in Europe, he tries to process the traumatic experiences he endured through a mental stage where he uses comedy to confront torture and death.
The story then shifts to a surreal game show set in 2099, where questions about Syria’s past atrocities expose the enduring effects of trauma.
