Interesting themes and very nicely shot.

Nature scenes were spectacular. There was some cohesion challenges at the beginning but the story begins to unfold and get deeper into the characters and their challenges.

For a young production company, I was blown away by the scale of the film. The story is more character-driven than plot driven. It is a conversation that examines the ways that people confront the breakdown of society, their journey for survival, and quest to find meaning in a hopeless situation. The exposition at the start of the film was drawn out, but things picked up. I appreciated the comedic lines and moments. Ibrahim’s storyline was especially engaging.

This movie is very heavy with dialogue as the protagonist will be speaking third-person through a lot of scenes. If the story was more linear it would have fared better; its constant back and forth in time was really pointless, very confusing, and removed any suspense, especially from the climax. The discussions had about faith in the movie may have been intriguing but avoid this if that is not your thing and/or you are expecting this to be an action movie of any sort.

Jesus Christ didn't suffer as much as the audience in the theatre. For a full description of the movie, look-up "terrible" in a thesaurus.

If you’re wanting a beautiful thoughtful flick, this is the one. Loved it from beginning to end! So much better than the standard movie fare, Father off Nations will leave you with much to ponder and has a lovely hopeful ending!

Loved this movie and went back for a second viewing. The second viewing was worth it in terms of catching and thinking more about the dialogue. Didn't find the length to be an issue in any way. Issues of morality and faith are important to and discussed by billions of people worldwide and their inclusion didn't scare me off. Glad that the writer wasn't afraid to tackle these ideas. For a first movie, I thought it was fabulous. The cinematography was spectacular in capturing the bleakness of the subject.

Beautifully shot, very thought-provoking with rich dialogue. Left me thinking for a few hours after about. Would love to see it again!

Far too long for the thin storyline. Monologues were heavily overused. Unclear if this was in the script by design, or as a crutch for poor delivery of dialogue between actors.
