The first trailer for Jack Reacher: Never Go Back opens to the sound of sirens and a group of people huddling around a wounded man on the ground. The man lies just outside the doors of a diner. As voices can be heard describing the scene, one stands out and states, "There was a fight. One guy took 'em all down with his bare hands. He's still in there." The guy referred to is Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise).
As the trailer continues, Jack is apprehended by two officers. Of course, his detainment doesn't last long. Eventually, Jack returns to Virginia to meet the head of his former unit, only to discover she's missing and he's being charged with a crime carried out nearly two decades ago.
Explosions, car chases, punches and gunshots aside, the trailer shows Jack on the run and issuing a warning to those aiming to bring him down.
